What is Witchcraft?
Here is a reality check:
After 2000 years of targeted misinformation, outright lies and persecution, numerous books of fiction, movies and TV, there’s quite a bit of confusion about what a “Real Witch” is.
Black and White Magick?
There is no such thing as Black or White Magick; only intent! Doing Magick allows an individual or group of people to align with and draw on the Goddess/God and forces of the universe. Witchcraft gives us many tools to help ourselves and others. Some may try to harm others but, those acts will trigger the Threefold Law on themselves.
What are spells?
Spells are similar to prayer but with more focus and training. The process of making a spell allows the individual to truly focus on what needs to happen, for themselves, others and for the good of all. It is part of our Hermetic Principles and should be understood as a way to assist
Demons – Satan and other works of fiction.
Demons such as Satan and Lucifer are the relatively recent creation of the Judeo-Christians’ to control their ‘flock’ into subjugation and have nothing to do with us. We were around a long time before the Christians or the Jews, which is why they usurped so many of our traditions. Our religion has no evil deities; our philosophy requires no fear or control of the masses to function, only education and enlightenment.
A rose, by any other name?
Witchcraft is not a term for any that have a Magickal way or system. A male Witch is a Witch not a Warlock. The word Warlock means “Oath Breaker” in Scottish. Practitioners of Witchcraft are Witches. You can also be a Druid, a Magi (Maig) or Mage, Wizard, Priest, Priestess, or even an Elder of the Craft, but your still a Witch.
Where are Witches?
Witches come from every Walk of life. Many Witches are professional; such as Doctors, Nurses, Police Officers, Soldiers, Teachers, etc. Witchcraft does not discriminate in any way. We dress the way we want to dress and in any style as we wish.
Witchcraft is a Science, art, tradition and religion.
Witches use Witchcraft as a science, an art, tradition and religion. We use our knowledge and Magick in harmony with the Universe.
In the religion of Witchcraft, the pentacle is an amulet and/or a symbol of protection – The five-pointed star represents the human body. The star surrounded by the circle represents the human body encompassed by the protection. The pentacle is also, the symbol for Wisdom.
Unlike “other” religions the Earth is not our enemy. Did you ever read “The Giving Tree”? We seek to live in or, as much balance as possible. The Earth and all living things are woven together by the same life force. They are composed of patterns of intelligence, of knowledge, and of divinity. Witches do not worship anything but the God and Goddess.
